He ain’t heavy: this book says soby: Zebeen
Whether you have a little brother or a big brother or always wanted a brother, this is a great book for both girls and boys. The picture book is beautifully illustrated. The colours are vivid. Any baby would love the illustrations and get captured in the colours. The language is very simple. The font is large enough to read and each word is easy to follow for a beginner. Ruth Ohi captures the brother-to-brother friendship quite well; from the loving and playful way brothers play, to the sometimes competitive nature of the relationship. I enjoyed reading and re-reading the book and looking at the pictures. Each read brought out something else I missed and each time I read the book, I was captured by the colours as well as the simplicity of the story. But it is in the simplicity of the story that tells volumes about a wonderful relationship between brothers. A great gift for the little guy in your life. |
