Author shares carefully-guarded secrets of ancient healingby: Zebeen
Diane Stein has defied all the rules by revealing the Reiki symbols; many students have to pay to be privy to them. This was a bold step and her reasoning is simple: “Healing and healer’s training should be available to anyone who will use the experience to benefit themselves or others…..cost or compensation is not primary, and to me any cost that puts the information out of reach is immoral.” Wow. What a bold statement coming from a healer who has chosen Reiki as her channel for healing. I say this because I have always perceived Reiki to have a cult following. In order to become a Reiki master, you need to pay $10,000. There are only few mortals in society who would pay this much money and thus, it seems that only the haves can get this healing. But now, the author has made it available to all. Stein covers a lot of information in this workbook and it takes time to assimilate it all. It is not a difficult read, but in order for you to grasp the information I would recommend taking your time and allowing the information to be absorbed. Reiki is laying of hands. That is what I have come to understand it as. In the workbook, you will be shown the right and proper way to place your hands when healing a certain part of the body you are working on as well as your own. Stein covers the Reiki story, giving you a glimpse of the history of this ancient healing art. She covers the first degree of Reiki, the Reiki Principles, the healing session, the chakras, hand positions for self-healing and for healing others, the second degree, the Reiki symbols for the second degree, and has illustrations with arrows showing you how these symbols can be drawn and memorized. Add to this distance healing, opening the kundalini, exercises for women and men, the third degree and the symbols for this degree of healing, passing attunements, how attunements are received, teaching Reiki and an appendix section where you can copy the handouts and use freely, as long as you credit the source. Each section is full of illustrations, which I found quite useful so that you know how to place your hands during a healing session. Kudos to this fearless author for taking a risk, honoring her truth and standing in her own integrity to bring this important form of healing to all that are drawn to it. |
